AliExpress Standard Shipping vs China Post Registered Air Mail, Which is Better?
I have already written an article about AliExpress Standard Shipping but lots of people are asking the difference between AliExpress Standard Shipping and China Post Registered Air Mail. In this article, I will try to explain the difference between Standard shipping and China Post and will also tell you which one should you choose and why.
If you have read my article about AliExpress Standard Shipping. You may know that AliExpress Standard Shipping isn’t a Delivery Service/Shipping Method. It is just a guarantee that you will get a valid tracking number and quality service.
What is the Difference Between Both?
Technically, There’s no difference between both because China Post is a delivery service whereas AliExpress Standard Shipping is a logistics company(not a delivery service).
AliExpress Standard Shipping
When you purchase a product from AliExpress, you can just select AliExpress Standard Shipping. After that, It depends on the seller which service they want to use for your product.
These are the four most used shipping methods under AliExpress Standard Shipping.
- Singapore Post Registered Air Mail.
- SunYou Economic Air Mail.
ePacket is available for the customers of more than 50 countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Italy, Germany, etc but ePacket isn’t available for Indian Customers.
If you want to purchase a costly and big product like laptops and others, the seller will ship the product using EMS but for most products including smartphones and tablets, they will use shipping services like Singapore Post, ePacket, and SunYou Economic Air Mail.

China Post Registered Air Mail
When you purchase a product from AliExpress, You can select China Post Registered Air Mail. Here the seller doesn’t have multiple options, which means they will ship the product using China Post Registered Air Mail.
But you may have to face one problem, sometimes the seller mentions China Post Registered Air Mail on the product page. Once you place the order, they ship the product using China Post Ordinary Small Packet Plus.
In that case, you won’t able to do anything even customer support team won’t help you. They will just tell you to wait for the 60 days. If you will not receive the product within the mentioned time, you need to contact AliExpress customer support to get the solution.
Which is Faster & Better?
In my experience, AliExpress Standard Shipping is faster than the China Post Registered Air Mail. You can see some comparisons between both in the below examples.
First seller(left screenshot) shipped the headphone on 31st March using Singapore Post Registered Air Mail and the product arrived in just 23 days (on 23rd April) whereas the Second seller(right screenshot) shipped shoes on 2nd April using China Post Registered Air Mail and that product is still in the transit.
UPDATE: Received the shoes after 35 days (on 7th May).
First seller(left screenshot) shipped the hoodie on 4th December using Singapore Post Registered Air Mail and the product arrived in just 26 days (on 30th December) whereas the Second seller(right screenshot) shipped the keyboard on 7th December using China Post Registered Air Mail and the product arrived after 40 days (on 16th January).
Please note that the origin of all the parcels is different but still, I would say AliExpress Standard Shipping is Faster & Better than China Post Registered Air Mail.
Note: As I said earlier, Standard shipping has various shipping options. If the seller will ship your product using Express Mail Service(EMS), you will receive the product within 15 days.
In the above examples, Standard shipping and China Post both of them are Registered Post. On the other hand, Express Mail Service(EMS) is a premium delivery service, which is also known as Speed Post in India.
Everybody knows that the Speed Post is faster than the Registered post. If you will purchase a costly and big product (like a laptop) using Standard Shipping, they will ship the product using EMS.

Which One Should You Choose?
I would suggest you choose the cheaper one. I mean If the seller is charging $2 for China Post and $3 for Standard shipping, select the China Post.
No matter which shipping method you select both of them will give you a valid tracking number, which means you will be able to track the parcel until the delivery.
However, If you don’t have a problem with paying the extra shipping charge then AliExpress Standard Shipping is a better choice because It is a much more secure & faster way to get products delivered.
